About The Program
First off, Welcome to the Linden Instrumental Music Program! This is a new experience for your student and I hope that they are as excited as I am to start making music with each other. In Sixth Grade, the students will be learning A LOT! The students will be split into two different classes; A Brass Class and a Woodwind Class. This is so I can give better instruction to individuals and sections in the class. The students will be learning how to put the instruments together, how to properly hold the instrument, how to read music, how to play the correct notes, how to read rhythms, how to play musically, and how to identify what they are seeing in music. I know you are thinking that this is a lot, but I know through hard work the students can achieve this. I am excited for the students to start their music making process and see how they develop as young musicians.
